Hard to see much value in OSU.


the state of Oklahoma has fewer than 4 million residents - less than 15% than that of Texas - and OSU is an afterthought in its own state.
Which P5 conference wants OK State:
B1G - wellllll - NO. No AAU and no hope of getting there any time soon.
ACC - only if forced in a package deal - academic rankings are too low for Tobacco Road bluebloods
SEC - ONLY if packaged with Oklahoma. The SEC does NOT accept the 2nd best in a state - especially in a state the size of metro DC area.
PAC12 - also bluebloods, or at least wannabe bluebloods. P12 is no home for OSU.
B12 - seems like home.

So is OSU more desirable - outside of a package deal with Oklahoma - than, for example, Baylor? If I had only one member in one of the states of Texas and Oklahama, I think I'd select the Lone Star state.

OU is going to wear OSU as its albatross during the conference wars.
